I'm completely with you the TF oud wood is so much fresher , lighter and smoother , than the clones ..i like it , only thing i dont like …the durability on me 4-5 hours. The clones also can't give any more.The price is the only reason to get woody oud with a heavier, angular , mustier scent..
is it worth the extra cost? For me yes , i always go with the original !

Dude…this is Crazy! I just posted 2 days ago on my frag group that I lied about how close Woody Oud was after finding an old sample of Oud Wood. I compared it to Oud Wonder as well and Bruh. That OG is killing it. I really thought it was close. But Nah. Oud Wood hits Way different AND it performs better. Oud Wonder is better than Woody Oud and does come closer. But Naah fam. You On it. It aint close.
Carda- MOM, CAR-DA-MOM. Not “cardamon”. If you want to be respected as a fragrance reviewer you gotta work on your pronunciation, especially words you say in almost every video. Just some construction criticism.
My buddy gave me a decant and I think it’s amazing how it goes from kinda harsh and strong to a little bit sparkly woods. Crazy blended. The clone I have can’t capture the opening but the drydown is close
great upload! had to be a control fragrance to explore which clone is best. hvent got to woody oud yet but porto neroli is so far my fav clone i be wearing it to anything
Tom Ford Oud Wood is one of these Scents which seems to be very hard to clone. Lovely Cherry kills Lost Cherry, Al Haramains Amber Oud Tobacco kills Tobacco Oud but there is no fragrance cloning Oud Wood 100/100 %. There are really expesive Oud Wood alternatives (Carved Oud by Thameen) and they still smell sharp and off, so the TF Guys did their thing here.
TF was my favorite brand when I startet my fragrance journey in 2020 but they products keep getting worse and more expensive. Oud Wood was always a dinner-fragrance for me because its gorgeous but the performance is bad. Its perfect for a dinner in a restaurant but the performance is way too weak for clubbing, dates or nights out. If you want to go to a business meeting or restaurant for 2 hours its perfect, but after that you should use another scent if you want to go out for the night.
