Asin tibuok, nicknamed the dinosaur egg, is without doubt one of the rarest salts on this planet. Within the Sixties, salt-making households within the Philippine island of Bohol would commerce it for meals and different items. However the craft almost disappeared within the late twentieth century when youthful folks left the commerce for extra worthwhile careers.

Ok yall those are extinct
all I'm seeing is a business that needs more staff and underpaid business owners who can't afford said staff.
Im a Filipino abroad who has witnessed free enterprise abroad. It saddens me to see the PH oligarchs trying to curtail free enterprise from simple people like these who try to make a livelihood with something so unique
It's not available to purchase except for A customer in Merica. No other customers or countries for that matter are important..
ill prolly go back to the Philippines and somehow find a way to sell this to EREWHON. make a fortume FR FR
Can this only be purchased in person? I would totally order some online, but I understand if they don’t have the means to do that.
Thank you for including Filipino subtitle!
Where can I order this
It cost 100€ for 1kg.

So rare to see someone from the Philippines wearing those.
Been there, can confirm that nearly everyone there (except for that dude and a few others) wear briefs… Philippines is a briefs country
Those nautilus shell ladles tho

I think ASIN Law is one of the dumbest laws ever passed. Instead of making illegal to sell non-iodized salt, why not just educate people in nutrition and encourage the national production of iodine-rich products? The government should've just invested in seaweed production (Philippines used to be one of the top producers back in the 90s) among other things. But yeah, that's just my opinion about it.
that law is BS!
what an amazing process !
ITS JUST A SALT FOR FCK SAKE !
Gosh. That law has zero nuance.
I have tried for years to find this in UK without success.
Those guys wont have all of their fingers after a few years of cutting like that.
Iodine in salt is now proven to be more harmful because the iodine are no longer natural but synthetic for mass production hence the whole "healthy" salt is really not that healthy. Natural salt is still the best coz its natural not processed salt. Also the whole Iodine salt will solve thyroid problem is a short sighted approached to health care.
Props to the family of taking the initiative for saving a dying tradition. The local government should give them insentives for that.
Ninong Ry brought me here. 😅
this is the secret ingredient that makes pagpag irresisitible
