Serial biotech founder George Church has a brand new startup, and this time, he has pores and skin within the recreation, fairly actually.
Church, the enigmatic founder behind firms together with eGenesis, Editas Drugs, and Colossal Biosciences, donated a few of his personal pores and skin cells to be used at his new startup GC Therapeutics. (And sure, the letters within the firm’s title stand for “George Church.”)
The corporate, which launched on Thursday, envisions turning induced pluripotent stem cells into cells discovered within the nervous, immune, and gastrointestinal methods for brand new off-the-shelf therapies.
